Mark L. Marinaccio

I started The Strange Story Company so that I could focus on stories of the unexplained.

From ghosts and monsters to E.T.'s and UFO's; if it's Paranormal, it's in my wheelhouse.

I’ve been an Executive Producer, Showrunner, Show Creator, and Development Consultant for the last Twenty Years.

I am a paranormal experiencer and enthusiast, a sci-fi junkie

and I have a love for telling stories that are  as intriguing as they imaginative.

My passion for the paranormal has enabled me to establish a substantial footprint within the genre and within the community helping me to forge a career telling stories of the unexplained.

In my career as a television producer, director, writer, and creator I have put out more than 200 hours of television shows that have been viewed more than 1 Billion times around the world.

Now, I'm using this skillset to do more, to say more, and to bring more to anyone and everyone who wants more stories of the unexplained.

More About Me

In my twenty years of working in documentary and unscripted television, I have created, produced, directed, written and delivered more than two hundred hours of prime time television shows, much of it focusing on the paranormal and unexplained.

As an Executive Producer and Showrunner I have managed teams of more than one hundred people, individual budgets in excess of ten million dollars and have been responsible for taking projects from concept, through development and budgeting, into production, through post-production and editing and on to final delivery, to network and production companies.

I have created and produced shows for networks such as A&E, Discovery Channel, Travel Channel, TLC, National Geographic, History, H2, Bio, The CW, Animal Planet, Destination America, Tru TV, Spike TV, Syfy Channel as well as many of the top production companies within the industry.

After ten years on the production side of television, I took an executive-level position with The Discovery Channel as Director of  Development and Production in the Los Angeles office.

It was there that I gained valuable insight into the corporate, structural and creative world of cable television’s top unscripted network. I was able to learn from the best and forge solid relationships with agents, producers, and executives throughout the business.

After leaving the network and returning to the Executive Producer side, I immediately created and sold two paranormal series to A&E Television Networks which aired on BIO.

Recently, as I have been expanding my paranormal, and unexplained stories brand, I have been a part of multiple projects under a paranormal development and consulting deal with A&E, including the big kickoff special, World's Biggest Ghost Hunt.

I have also been deeply involved in paranormal projects with Travel Channel and other content outlets.

When I'm not creating, running, writing or consulting on shows I'm creating podcasts and digital content for my facebook page, Facebook.com/strangestoryco as well as working on a Sci-Fi book series and a feature-length paranormal documentary.
